Yesterday customers received notification that LyondellBasell declared force majeure on PO, MPG, DPG, TPG, and other products produced at its plant in Bayport, Texas. The company stated a leak developed on a PO refining column at the site which required significantly lowering operating rates. The company will contact customers regarding availability once it receives more details. As of today several customers we contacted have yet to be told what impact it might have on their supply.
