Regional sources report Venezuela shutdown the 750,000 mt/yr Metro Unit 1 today for an outage expected to last until mid-month due to health precautions reportedly linked to the Covid19 pandemic. The 850,000 mt/yr Metor Unit 2 is expected to go down from August 4th through August 18. The 670,000 mt/yr Supermetanol plant is also reportedly down for maintenance. Traders report significant activity in the USG barge market and deals done today as high as 72 cts/gal FOB.
