Dow Chemical confirms declaring force majeure on “propylene glycol”. In the letter to customers the company stated “This situation is due to a disruption in availability of key raw material supply within Dow’s Propylene Glycol production operations which has resulted in an involuntary unplanned shutdown. Dow is using all commercially reasonable means to address this situation and hopes to be in a position to resume Propylene Glycol supply soon. Dow will allocate available product in a manner that is fair and reasonable. Your allocation volume will be communicated to you by your account manager as soon as possible.”
